Kern CCD Leadership Academy

The Kern CCD Leadership Academy is an exciting year-long program that develops future leaders through hands-on learning, team projects, and behind-the-scenes insights into how our district operates. Participants connect with leaders across KCCD, explore emerging topics like AI, engage in advocacy in Sacramento, and collaborate on impactful projects that align with the KCCD Strategic Plan. The experience culminates in team presentations to the Chancellor and executive team, celebrating growth, innovation, and leadership potential.

Mentor Program

Kern Community College District is excited to announce the development of a new Mentor Program designed to support the professional growth of classified employees and strengthen connections across our district. The program will pair classified staff with managers from other campuses for one-on-one mentoring throughout the academic year, with most meetings held virtually via Zoom. Our goal is to provide employees with an opportunity to learn, grow, and build meaningful professional relationships that support their career journey. This program is currently in development, and we will be sharing more details—including how to participate—in the coming weeks.
