Jessica O'Brien
Program Director, Energy and Workforce Development
Jessica O’Brien serves as the Program Director for Energy and Workforce for the California Renewable Energy Laboratory (CREL), where she leads applied research, workforce development, and industry partnerships for clean energy. Her focus includes planning and evaluating programs, developing strategy, building industry partnerships, and ensuring quality academic and student services related to clean energy. Ms. O’Brien is experienced in curriculum development, undergraduate education and environmental health and safety throughout heavy industry.
Ms. O’Brien has a B.S. in Environmental Management, and Occupational Safety and Health from CSU, a M.S. in Environmental Science from Louisiana State University and a Master of Jurisprudence in Energy and Environmental Law from Texas A&M University and she is currently working to complete a Master of Public Health from Brown University. Jessica’s experience in the private sector, government agency and academia, has provided her with a breadth of experience in the world of environmental health, safety, and energy management that is second to none.
