Last Thursday, the Porterville College Career Education Department joined over 1000 High School Students at the Porterville Fairgrounds for the 5th annual Trades Day, hosted by the Tulare-Kings College & Career Collaborative, Tulare County Office of Education, Kings County Office of Education, and Porterville Unified School District.

From testing out cutting-edge augmented reality welding headsets that simulate real-world sparks without any of the danger, to crafting custom metal heart shapes with real flame to take home to loved ones, future generations of professionals got a firsthand look at high-paying and high-demand career pathways.

PC's Career Education Department was proud to showcase hands-on instruction in pipe welding, structural welding, and fabrication, ensuring our students find a welcoming place to belong and build the skills they need to sustain themselves and their families at Porterville College.
