BC And Wonderful Industrial Park Support Local Workforce
Bakersfield College was honored to gather with leaders from the Wonderful Industrial Park (WIP) to learn more about the exciting growth opportunities taking place in the WIP! Leaders from organizations such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, the City of Shafter, and others came together to provide updates on their operations. It was a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of the dynamic ecosystem that drives economic development in the region.
One of the highlights of the event was the unveiling of the WIP’s new culinary establishment intended to serve the workforce within the WIP. In addition to the culinary showcase, the Wonderful Career Center leaders emphasized their dedication to workforce development training through their partnership with Bakersfield College. The training programs assist new and current workforce to possess the theoretical and hands-on skillset necessary to be successful within their careers. This collaboration is a testament to our shared commitment to empowering individuals and fostering growth within our community. By working together, we can create pathways for success and drive meaningful change.
