Full-time permanent employees (20+ hours per month) are eligible for health benefits:
Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Long-term Disability.
In addition to the above benefits, the District also offers a robust voluntary benefits selection:

The District participates in CalPERS retirement system and Social Security benefits for Classified and Management employees. Employees covered under the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), are vested 100% after five years of full time service credit.
The District participates in the State Teacher’s Retirement System (STRS) for faculty. Employees covered under the State Teacher’s Retirement System (STRS), are vested 100% after five years of full time service credit.
All coverages begin on the first of the following month after the hire date.
The following classifications are eligible for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) health benefits at the employee expense offered through SISC:

Anthem Blue Cross
Under Anthem Blue Cross, through SISC, the district provides three (3) PPO plans that include 80%, 90%, or 100% coverage with an average $500/$1,000 annual deductible and average $20 office visit co-pay.

Anchor Bronze
Under Anchor Bronze HSA PPO, through SISC, the district provides PPO plan that include coverage with an average $5,000person/$10,000 family.
Prescriptions
Navitus Rx
Most medications range from $5 generic up to $25 brand name, also with $0 cost for generic medication through Costco. If you choose mail order prescriptions, you could get a 90 day supply of free generic medications. To learn more about this plan call 866-333-2757 or visit the Navitus Rx website.
Dental
Delta Dental - DPO/PPO
Delta pays 100% for covered benefits, but you MUST use DPO/PPO provider for maximum benefit of $2,000 per calendar year. Orthodontic benefit up to $2,000 per patient, per lifetime. To learn more about this plan call 866-499-3001 or visit the Delta Dental - DPO/PPO website.
Delta Dental - Incentive/Premier
Delta pays 70% of the approved fees for covered benefits during the first year you are eligible. This percentage will increase 10% each year (to a maximum of 100%) for each enrollee, provided that person visits the dentist at least once during the year. The maximum benefit for any calendar year is $1,700 per patient. Providers must be in Delta Dental network. Vision
VSP (Vision Service Plan)
Voluntary (self-paid) for Faculty/District paid for Classified and Classified Management Employees. Exam and single vision prescription lenses fully covered every calendar year; frames covered every other year up to $150. Contacts covered in lieu of glasses every calendar year with $150 annual allowance applied towards the costs of contacts, fitting and evaluation exam. Life Insurance
Lincoln Financial Group
Managed by SISC, KCCD provides Basic Term Life Insurance coverage to eligible employees for $50,000. New employees or newly eligible employees, within 31 days of a qualifying event, are able to enroll in a Voluntary Term Life Insurance with a Guaranteed Issue Amount (GIA) up to $150,000 and is not required to provide Evidence of Insurability.
Employee Assistance Program
EAP
EAP provides counseling services for employees and retirees regarding relationship difficulties, marriage and family situations, stress or anxiety and depression issues. Concerns such as alcohol and drug problems or family violence may also be discussed with an EAP counselor in this program.
