California Compliance School (CCS) is an innovative, activity-based Kern Community College District training program that uses a fun and interesting format to teach the basics of complying with environmental regulations. Using experts in the field of adult learning principles, the team of curriculum development specialists at CCS put together a performance-based program that addresses the most common questions and practices of environmental compliance for hazardous waste generators.
"Performance-based" means that you will use a hands-on method to learn how to apply these skills for your business operations. This training method keeps you in compliance, saves money through waste reduction, and may prevent you from getting fined!
The credit for the CCS concept goes to employees of the Department of Toxic Substances Control. They realized the need for basic hazardous waste management training, but recognized that an institution of adult learning such as a college would be better equipped to develop and provide the training compared to a regulatory agency.
Take a few moments to complete the quiz and find out for yourself that California Compliance School just might be able to answer some of your questions and bring you into or keep you in regulatory compliance.
