The Kern Community College District's Purchasing Department, under the Business Services division, handles the procurement of supplies, material, equipment and non-construction services from responsible vendors at the lowest cost or best value. Consistent with the California Public Contract Code, the District solicits Invitations to Bid, Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), or other formal methods of procurement for contracts exceeding bid limits.
**After much consideration and due to unforeseen circumstances at Cerro Coso Community College there will not be an award made at this point in time. Regrettably, we must put the Campus Security Services RFP on hold status until September 2018. Only vendors who submitted a proposal on March 13, 2018 will be considered for award once this RFP has been reinstated. The anticipated contract award and commencement date will be January 2019. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals to provide campus security services, for the Kern Community College District, on behalf of Cerro Coso Community College. Any resulting agreement will be between the supplier whose proposal is selected and the Kern Community College District ("District" or "KCCD"). The Kern Community College District on behalf of Cerro Coso Community College is seeking a successful vendor(s) to work collaboratively with the District in offering unarmed campus security services at multiple campus locations including Ridgecrest, Tehachapi, and Lake Isabella.
